Job summary

People Impact is seeking a hands-on Java Tech Lead with expertise in AI tooling to guide full-stack squads. You will own architecture across Java, Spring Boot, React and related tech, while adopting an AI-first approach and cloud deployments.

The role requires 9+ years of experience, hands-on leadership, and the ability to mentor engineers in Agile environments. Bangalore/Hyderabad location with a 30–45 day notice period is typical.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java full-stack development with Spring Boot and React.
• Experience with AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Design and build microservices and containerised apps on Kubernetes/Docker.
• SQL, Oracle/SQL Server, NoSQL databases knowledge is required.
• OOA/OOD/OOP strong design experience is essential.
• 2+ years DevOps/Agile delivery; 2+ years cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, React, and related technologies.

• Apply Object‑Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming (OOA/OOD/OOP) principles across the codebase.

• Collaborate with technical, product, and business stakeholders on design and delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years of full-stack development with Java, Spring Boot/JPA, JavaScript, React, Thymeleaf, REST and JSON.
• 3+ years of containerisation and infrastructure experience with Kubernetes, Konvoy, Docker and GitHub.
• 3+ years of database engineering with SQL, functions and stored procedures across Oracle, SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years of strong OOA/OOD/OOP design experience.
• 2+ years of DevOps and Agile delivery experience.
• 2+ years of cloud exposure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Mandatory hands‑on experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and/or Cursor.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, mentoring and problem‑solving skills.

Position Details

• Experience: 9+ years preferred for the Tech Lead position.
• Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad.
• Notice Period: Maximum 30–45 days.
• The candidate should be hands‑on and have prior experience leading or mentoring technical teams.

AI-First Development Requirement

Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools is mandatory. Candidates may be practically evaluated on their use of GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools and their ability to apply AI effectively within software engineering workflows.
