Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Structural).
• 5–10 years of relevant industrial design engineering experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Strong skills in structural design, fabrication and BOM preparation.

About The Opportunity

Safety Projects Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and innovative Technical Design Engineer to join its Design & Engineering department at the Umbergaon Plant.

The role is critical for the design development, engineering calculations, manufacturing drawings, technical coordination, and optimization of industrial special-purpose engineering systems.

The engineer will work closely with production and project execution teams to ensure efficient and manufacturable designs.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural support systems, special components, and application-based engineering systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Develop optimized and manufacturable design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Perform engineering and load calculations.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication details.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Prepare technical specifications and design reports.
• Coordinate prototype development and testing activities.
• Support the production team in resolving fabrication and manufacturing issues.
• Modify and optimize drawings based on manufacturing feasibility and site requirements.
• Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.
• Review site measurements and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with project execution and installation teams.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning activities when required.

Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial design engineering, fabrication design, or special-purpose engineering systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Capability to conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Strong skills in structural design and analysis, fabrication and sheet metal design, load calculations, BOM preparation, technical documentation, and manufacturing drawing development.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, coordination, and communication abilities.

• Experience with Tekla (Preferred).
