Job summary

Safesea Group in Mumbai is seeking a Technical Assistant to support our technical team in managing vessel operations, maintenance, and compliance. Fresh graduates or engineers with a marine background are encouraged to apply to develop a career in ship management and technical operations.

You will monitor performance, maintain records, procure spares, coordinate dry-docks and inspections, and ensure compliance with IMO/MARPOL/SOLAS while supporting PMS and data systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech in Marine Engineering) or equivalent.
• Fresher or up to 2 years of experience in ship management or related field.
• Strong understanding of ship operations, machinery, and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation tools.
• Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Passion for learning and developing a career in technical ship management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the technical team in monitoring the performance, maintenance, and repairs of vessels.

• Coordinate with ship crew, vendors, and classification societies for technical matters.
