Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Application Owner to connect customer needs with engineering solutions. You will ensure projects meet market requirements in each application and use case.

The role requires a mechanical/automotive/industrial engineering degree and 8–15 years in vehicle development or related technical roles, with strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/automotive/industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 8–15 years in related fields.
• Experience in vehicle development or product engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Define and improve vehicle application profiles and operating scenarios for relevant markets and customer segments.
• Analyze customer requirements with Product Management, Sales, and customers.
• Translate application requirements into technical product properties, target values and engineering requirements.
• Define and maintain application roadmaps and support the development of future product concepts.
• Align technical target values for vehicle applications across functions and development projects.
• Provide a first assessment for technical feasibility within main modules (cab, chassis, drivetrain and EE).
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive solutions to support future product development.

As a Technical Application Owner, you play a key role in connecting customer needs, global market requirements and engineering solutions. You ensure that engineering projects meet the needs of customers across different markets and operating conditions in each specific application and use case.

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering or comparable technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of commercial vehicle technology and vehicle systems with 8 to 15 year of experience.
• Several years of experience in vehicle development, product engineering or a comparable technical role.
• Experience in gathering, analyzing and describing customer and market requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate customer needs into clear technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and concisely to diverse global audiences.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively in a global engineering environment.
• Open-minded personality with a strong interest in collaborating across cultures and regions.
