Job summary

GEA Group in Pune (India) is seeking a SAP developer to join an international team. You will contribute to development and enhancement of SAP applications with ABAP (classic and OO) and explore modern SAP technologies including BTP, CDS Views, OData and API integrations.

You will design output management solutions, develop interfaces, support code reviews and testing, and work with DMS integration in business processes. A strong learning mindset and collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in (Business) Informatics or comparable qualification.
• Initial SAP development/ABAP experience (internships/Working student).
• Interest in modern SAP technologies (BTP, Cloud, APIs, AI-based tools like Joule).
• Basic understanding of software architecture and development processes.
• Initial experience with SAP BTP, CDS Views, OData, or Fiori is advantageous.
• Ideally some exposure to integration topics (API, Events, AIF).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, DevOps) is desirable.
• Very good communication skills
• Analytical thinking, structured work style, and a strong willingness to learn
• Team spirit and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of output management solutions (Adobe Forms, SmartForms, S/4HANA Output Control)
• Development of interfaces and integration solutions (e.g., APIs, AIF, cloud integration)
• Support with code reviews, testing, and adherence to development standards
• Error analysis and technical problem solving in the SAP environment (debugging, performance optimization)
