Job summary

General Mills in Mumbai seeks an experienced SAP Technical Engineer II responsible for custom developments across the GMI ecosystem, translating functional requirements into technical specs and delivering complex SAP solutions under guidance of tech leads and architects.

The role requires strong SAP best practices, deep understanding of SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, TM), and ability to work independently while collaborating with a global team to drive process improvements and maintain quality

Qualifications

• Education – Full-time graduation from an accredited university.
• 7+ years SAP Development experience; preferred 7-9 years.
• Deep functional understanding in at least three modules (MM, SD, FI, TM).
• Define and implement integrated process improvements within the team.
• Communicate effectively with functional analysts and stakeholders.
• Apply SAP technical standards and seek guidance when needed.

Overview

SAP Technical Engineer II is responsible for custom developments and should be able to work on development tasks independently across GMI eco system, convert functional requirement into technical specification and implement complex solutions under guidance of tech lead/architects in a project. This individual should be possessing good understanding of SAP best practices and should be able to help the team in maintaining the same.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education – Full-time graduation from an accredited university
• Minimum 7 years of SAP Development experience required. Preferred years of experience 7 - 9 years.
• Deep functional understanding in at least three. (MM, SD, FI, TM, etc.)
• The Individual should be able to define and implement integrated Process improvements within the team.
• Consistently deliver on their own commitments while working with a single business group or user.
• Understand at least a single business process and start to demonstrate the ability to resolve issues on their own or with minimal assistance.
• Apply SAP technical standards in their own project work. Proactively ask questions when necessary.
• Approachable and have established a network within their own workgroups. Open to feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Actively look for broader IS initiatives to participate in, which help them connect with others outside of their own work group.

• Expert level - S4 Hana; ABAP for SAP HANA; General ABAP, Enhancement Framework; Forms; ABAP Objects; ALE /IDOC; Web Dynpro for ABAP; SAP Gateway/ Fiori; Performance / Unit Testing; Functional Areas; R/3ERP (SD, MM, FI)
• Intermediate Level - BTP/BAS, TM, RAP/ABAP on Cloud, SAP Workflow
• Basic level - Mulesoft
