Job summary

BGH GE Gas Turbine Services (BGGTS) in India is seeking a Regional Service Engineer to join the field operations. You will participate as a regional service team member and lead the execution of planned and unplanned outages at customer sites, providing project management and technical advisory support.

You will troubleshoot on-site issues, prepare planning and technical reports, ensure safety per GE standards, and travel extensively to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other locations as

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of Gas Turbines and associated auxiliaries.
• Ability to read isometrics and drawings.
• Exposure to power plant and other rotating equipment is desirable.
• Strong communication and technical skills to communicate with customer and team members.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills to meet customer CTQs to deliveries.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Support trouble shooting issues
• Work to be performed at customer locations through India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc.,
• Timely completion of inspection reports and other administrative activities before and after site services
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Support business growth initiatives
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and reference for future outages.
• Prepare job planning documents that define in the scope of outages to be performed through engineering instructions, drawings and process instruction.
• Provide technical direction to skilled labour performing work on customer sites.
• Good knowledge on usage of tools such as lifting devices, measuring instruments and P&M
• Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.

Experience Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-10 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of Gas Turbines and associated auxiliaries
• Good in read and understanding isometrics and drawings
• Exposure to power plant and other rotating equipments is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and Technical skills to communicate with customer and team members
• Strong organizational skills & presentation skills to meet customer CTQs to deliveries
• Computer familiarity to MS Office.
• Customer centric approach/mindset.
• Ability to learn other software tool applications to support HMI and other application changes.
• Position requires extensive travel.
