We are seeking two StrategicTechnical Account Managers (Academics) to drive simulation adoption andresearch excellence across prestigious academic institutions and governmentR&D labs in the West and South regions. Reporting to the Technical Lead –Academics, you will be the technical face of CADFEM, ensuring that universitiesand research centers effectively utilize the Ansys portfolio to advancescientific discovery and engineering education.
KeyResponsibilities
- Academic Account Management: Serve as theprimary technical point of contact for universitiesand research labs, focusingon software utilization, research success, and long-term institutionalrelationships.
- Research Enablement: Work with professors, researchers,and PhD scholars to map Ansys Multiphysics solutions (Structures, Fluids,Electronics, Optics) to their specific research projects and grantrequirements.
- CoE Implementation: Support the deployment of regionalCenters of Excellence (CoEs). Assist institutions in establishing workflows forDigital Twin, Autonomous Vehicles, and Systems Engineering.
- Curriculum Integration: Collaborate withHODs and faculty to integrate simulation-driven design into undergraduate andpostgraduate engineering curricula.
- Technical Advocacy: Organize and lead "Academic TechDays," Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and Hands-on Workshops toshowcase the value of the full Ansys stack in a research context.
- Talent Bridge: Facilitate connections between academicresearch output and industrial requirements, leveraging CADFEM’s network topromote student skill development and placement.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s in Engineering (PhD preferred ora strong background in academic research).
- Experience: 5–8 years in Application Engineering,Technical Support, or Academic Liaison within the CAE/CAD industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experiencewith the Ansys Multiphysics suite. Ability to troubleshoot complexresearch-level simulations.
- Academic Insight: Familiarity with the regionalacademic ecosystem (e.g., IITs, NITs, and private research universities in theSouth/West) and the institutional procurement process.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently withinthe region to maintain high-touch customer engagement.
