Job summary

Techjays, an AI-first technology company, seeks a Head of Finance to own financial operations end-to-end and work directly with leadership in a fast-growing environment.

The role covers P&L, balance sheet, cash flow forecasting, GST and TDS filings, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and collaboration with auditors and vendors; hybrid work from Coimbatore or Chennai with flexible time-off.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in finance and payroll, with 2–3 years in a senior/leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of GST, TDS and Indian statutory tax compliance.
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience preferred.
• Experience using AI tools or automation to improve financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end financial operations: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.
• Lead GST and TDS computations, filings and statutory compliance.
• Manage payroll end-to-end: taxes, deductions, reimbursements and payslips.
• Produce financial reporting and variance analysis for leadership.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and vendors.

Are you a finance professional who owns the numbers end to end, stays ahead of every GST and TDS deadline, and wants to do it at a fast-growing AI company?

Techjays is an AI-first technology company building intelligent solutions for clients from high-growth startups to large enterprises.

Our team brings experience from Google, NetApp, ADP, Cognizant Consulting and Capgemini.

We are looking for a Head of Finance to independently own our financial operations.

This is a senior, strategic seat that works directly with leadership, not a back-office role.

What you will own:

• – End-to-end financial operations: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
• – GST and TDS computations, filings and statutory compliance, with zero tolerance for delays
• – Payroll end to end: taxes, deductions, reimbursements, incentives and payslips
• – Financial reporting and variance analysis for leadership review
• – Coordination with auditors, tax consultants and vendors
• – Annual budgeting and financial planning
• – AI-powered and automation tools to streamline finance workflows

What we are looking for:

• – 6+ years in finance and payroll, with 2 – 3 years in a senior or leadership role
• – Deep, practical knowledge of GST, TDS and Indian statutory tax compliance
• – Qualification: B.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA / M.Com or equivalent
• – Startup or fast-paced environment experience is strongly preferred
• – Experience using AI tools or automation to improve financial processes
• – Strong analytical ability: you turn numbers into insights that drive decisions
• – Attention to detail, high accountability and clear communication with leadership
