Job summary

You will mentor junior team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive knowledge transfer while improving data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering and ETL development.
• Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL for data integration, transformation, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Python and SAS for data processing and automation.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in ETL development, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and SAS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing data processing solutions, ensuring the smooth execution of critical business operations, particularly during month-end closing activities. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively absorb and transfer knowledge, and the capability to work in a fast-paced production support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Develop and support complex SQL and PL/SQL programs for data integration, transformation, and reporting.
• Utilize Python and SAS for data processing, automation, analysis, and operational support.
• Provide production support for critical business processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Support month-end and period-end business operations, ensuring data accuracy and system availability.
• Conduct Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions and effectively understand, document, and transition processes from existing teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor junior team members as required.
