Job summary

Worldline, a leader in payments technology, is seeking a seasoned Java developer to join our global engineering teams in Pune, India. You will own sprint increments, implement scalable microservices with Spring Boot, and ensure high-quality software while adhering to coding standards.

You bring 10–15 years of Java experience, strong Java 11+, expertise in building microservices, testing frameworks, and proficiency with Docker, Kafka, SQL databases, and infrastructure tools.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of proven Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of Java 11+ and OOP principles.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and building scalable microservices.
• Solid experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions and own product increments in each sprint.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and manage backlogs.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and adapt plans to sprint goals.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions while taking ownership of product increments in each sprint, ensuring usability and adherence to coding standards
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements, manage sprint backlogs, and provide technical solutions to support agile development processes
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and adapt plans effectively to meet sprint goals
• Communicate technical changes and impacts clearly to stakeholders while maintaining transparency
• Drive continuous improvement within the team through proactive approach and commitment to excellence

• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Puppet, Hiera, Ansible, and Terraform
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log aggregation systems (Loki, Kibana, telemetry) for ensuring system availability
• Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and excellent communication abilities in collaborative team environments
