Job summary

Worldline is seeking an experienced Java developer in Pune to join a fast-moving payments technology team. You will own software increments, collaborate with Product Owners, and help drive agile processes.

The role demands 6–10 years of hands-on Java experience, Spring Boot, microservices, and strong knowledge of databases and messaging with Kafka. Expect a dynamic, globally distributed team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of proven experience in Java development with strong understanding of Java 11+ and OOP principles.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Solid experience with testing methodologies and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) and data modeling best practices.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Proficiency with Docker, container orchestration, and deployment processes in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Puppet, Hiera, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log aggregation systems (Loki, Kibana, telemetry).
• DevOps mindset and strong problem-solving & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions while taking ownership of product increments in each sprint, ensuring usability and coding standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements, manage sprint backlogs, and provide technical solutions for agile development.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and adapt plans to meet sprint goals.
• Communicate technical changes and impacts clearly to stakeholders with transparency.
• Drive continuous improvement within the team through a proactive approach and commitment to excellence.
