Job summary

Worldline is seeking a senior Java backend engineer in Pune to own the product and engineering roadmap for scalable payments platforms. You will mentor engineers, drive on-time delivery, and ensure high-quality code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship great experiences for merchants.

You should bring 6+ years of Java backend experience, strong knowledge of SpringBoot, Git, SQL, Kafka, and monitoring tools, and a track record of building high-scale systems in a product

Who Are We Looking For

• Experience as Java developer with knowledge of SpringBoot, Git, SQL, Kafka, Grafana, Kibana and Dynatrace
• 6+ Years of exp in Java backend and Pune Location.
• Good knowledge of software engineering methodology: meaningful and deeply-rooted opinions about testing and code quality, ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team, and continuously improve software engineering practices
• Collaborate with and across teams to design, build, and ship great experiences for our merchants
• Customer-focused and experience working in a product team, shipping products to end-users
• Significant experience building and operating critical high-scale systems
• Ability to set roadmap and goals for a team and every one of its members, delegate intelligently, mentor engineers, deliver frequent and transparent feedback, help team members grow in their careers, and deliver results
• Expertise and curiosity about growing teams: interviewing junior and senior engineers, collaborating with a recruiting team, efficiently onboarding new team members
