Worldline in Chennai, India seeks a senior Java developer to own backend features across sprints. You will implement scalable microservices with Spring Boot, ensure robust testing, and work closely with product owners to refine requirements.

You will join a globally distributed team, leverage Kafka for real-time data streams, and apply DevOps practices with Docker, Kubernetes, and infra tools to deliver reliable software.

Formación

• 6 to 10 years of proven experience in Java development and strong knowledge of Java 11+ and OOP concepts.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Solid experience with testing methodologies and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) and data modeling best practices.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka for real-time data streaming.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions while taking ownership of product increments in each sprint, ensuring usability and adherence to coding standards
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements, manage sprint backlogs, and provide technical solutions to support agile development processes
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and adapt plans effectively to meet sprint goals
• Communicate technical changes and impacts clearly to stakeholders while maintaining transparency
• Drive continuous improvement within the team through proactive approach and commitment to excellence

Who Are We Looking For

• 6 to 10 years of proven experience in Java development with strong understanding of Java 11+ and Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Expertise in Spring Boot and building scalable microservices architectures
• Solid experience with testing methodologies and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) and data modeling best practices
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka for real-time data streaming
• Proficiency with Docker, container orchestration, and deployment processes in cloud or on-premise environments
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Puppet, Hiera, Ansible, and Terraform
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log aggregation systems (Loki, Kibana, telemetry) for ensuring system availability
• DevOps mindset
• Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and excellent communication abilities in collaborative team environments
