Job summary

Grow in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Linux/Unix Administrator to manage and optimize our server infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, perform patching, monitor performance, and support cross-functional teams on system issues.

The role requires 2+ years of Linux/Unix administration, basic SQL knowledge, and strong problem-solving and documentation skills. Familiarity with cloud environments and automation will set you apart.

Qualifications

What you’ll be doing

• Administer, manage, and maintain Linux/Unix servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to operating systems, hardware, and software across Windows and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Handle infrastructure-related incidents and server migrations providing timely support and resolution for managed issues.
• Perform routine system checks, updates, and patch management to ensure security and system integrity.
• Utilize basic SQL skills to interact with databases, support queries, and assist with database management tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, troubleshoot problems, and implement best practices.
• Maintain and document detailed logs of system configurations, changes, and issues for future reference.
• Ensure disaster recovery procedures are implemented and tested regularly to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the automation of routine tasks and the improvement of system processes.
• Provide support during off-hours for critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

What you’ll likely bring

• Graduation degree
• Linux/Unix Administration: 2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Linux/UNIX based systems (RHEL).
• SQL Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL queries and database operations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve infrastructure related issues efficiently.
• System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Experience in monitoring system performance, analyzing logs, and optimizing system resources.
• Security Awareness: Knowledge of security best practices for both Windows and Linux systems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with teams and document processes.
