Job summary

Careerist Management Consultants seeks an experienced packaging engineer in Mumbai to lead end-to-end packaging change projects for BAU and NPI. You will drive designs, validations, and prototypes while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost optimization.

Collaboration with QA, design, and operations will be essential for successful deployments. The role requires strong CAD skills (Artios, Creo/SolidWorks, Illustrator), knowledge of ISTA testing, and a background in packaging materials and

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end packaging change projects(Fit, Feel, Finish; OTIF; Quality).
• Develop and validate packaging designs, materials, and processes for Business As Usual

(BAU) and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

• Ensure compliance with LMR, PWM, and technical standards.
• Create and maintain packaging specs, 2D/3D drawings, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with designers,QA, vendors, and operationsfor deployment and validation.
• Optimize cost, material efficiency, and consumer experience.
• Support sustainability and innovation in packaging.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or PG Diploma in Packaging (IIP

preferred).

• 6-8 years packaging development experience (switchgear, power quality, cables& wires).
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, conversion, printing, ISTA testing.
• Proficiency in CAD (Artios, Creo/SolidWorks & Illustrator).
• Familiar with regulatory & sustainability requirements
