Job summary

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is seeking an Automation Systems Engineer to manage automation projects and qualify systems for reliable, compliant operations. You will coordinate with vendors and OEMs, plan hardware redundancy, and monitor obsolescence to maintain performance.

The role requires installing upgrades, standardizing configurations, and supporting validation activities aligned with cGMP and regulatory standards across injectable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Graduation in Electronics, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 3+ / 6+ years of experience in automation systems.
• Experience in injectable manufacturing automation is desired.
• Exposure to validation activities for automated systems (cGMP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation-related projects and qualify systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs to track project schedules and resolve challenges.
• Plan for redundant hardware availability to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement a monitoring program for obsolescence and replacements.

Job Description

Job Summary This role is for an Automation Systems Engineer responsible for executing automation-related projects and qualifying systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. The position involves coordinating with vendors and OEMs to manage project schedules, resolve implementation challenges, and maintain system performance. The engineer will plan for hardware redundancy, monitor component obsolescence, and implement upgrades and replacements as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for executing automation-related projects and qualifying systems to ensure reliable performance and compliance with engineering standards.
• You will be responsible for coordinating with vendors and OEMs to track project execution against agreed schedules and resolve implementation challenges.
• You will be responsible for planning for redundant hardware availability to minimize breakdown time and ensure continuous operation of automation systems.
• You will be responsible for developing and implementing a monitoring program for automation system component obsolescence and timely replacement.
• You will be responsible for applying industry best practices such as GAMP and ISA standards, and adhering to corporate policies for automation routines, requalification, and change management.
• You will be responsible for executing design reviews and optimizing testing phases for automation systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• You will be responsible for standardizing automation software and hardware configurations with minimal customization to improve maintainability and scalability.
• You will be responsible for planning and executing system upgrades in coordination with vendors and IT teams, and supporting complex troubleshooting and investigations related to automation systems.

Qualifications

Educational qualification- Diploma/ Graduation in Electronics, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is mandatory
