Job summary

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is hiring an Automation Systems Engineer to drive automation projects, qualify systems, and ensure reliable operations across manufacturing facilities.

You will coordinate with vendors and OEMs, plan redundancy, and maintain system performance while following GAMP and ISA standards and supporting validation activities in a cGMP environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Graduation in Electronics, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is mandatory
• Minimum work Experience- 3+ / 6+ years of experience
• Experience with automation systems in injectable manufacturing and OEM-provided control systems is preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute automation-related projects and qualify systems to ensure reliable performance
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs to track project execution against schedules
• Plan for redundant hardware to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
• Develop and implement a monitoring program for obsolescence and timely replacement
• Apply GAMP and ISA standards and adhere to change management and requalification
• Execute design reviews and optimize testing phases for reliability and efficiency
• Standardize automation software and hardware configurations with minimal customization
• Plan and execute system upgrades with vendors and IT teams, supporting complex troubleshooting

Job Summary

This role is for an Automation Systems Engineer responsible for executing automation-related projects and qualifying systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. The position involves coordinating with vendors and OEMs to manage project schedules, resolve implementation challenges, and maintain system performance. The engineer will plan for hardware redundancy, monitor component obsolescence, and implement upgrades and replacements as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for coordinating with vendors and OEMs to track project execution against agreed schedules and resolve implementation challenges.
• You will be responsible for planning for redundant hardware availability to minimize breakdown time and ensure continuous operation of automation systems.
• You will be responsible for developing and implementing a monitoring program for automation system component obsolescence and timely replacement.
• You will be responsible for applying industry best practices such as GAMP and ISA standards, and adhering to corporate policies for automation routines, requalification, and change management.
• You will be responsible for executing design reviews and optimizing testing phases for automation systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• You will be responsible for standardizing automation software and hardware configurations with minimal customization to improve maintainability and scalability.
• You will be responsible for planning and executing system upgrades in coordination with vendors and IT teams, and supporting complex troubleshooting and investigations related to automation systems.

Qualifications

Educational qualification-Diploma/ Graduation in Electronics, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is mandatory

• Experience in integrating automation solutions with existing manufacturing processes, including MES, batch control, and interlocks for safety and efficiency is desired.
