Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in India is seeking a hands-on Engineer to support engine testing and data verification in the test cell. You will work with AVL Concerto, AVL test bench, and PUMA software to ensure test parameters meet specifications and safety standards.

The role focuses on analyzing test results, documenting observations, and assisting with setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of engines and joints during tests.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engine components.
• Hands-on experience with AVL test bench, PUMA software, and AVL Concerto.
• Ability to understand engine testing processes and performance parameters.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pinpoint, IPV, and HMI data verification to ensure accuracy of test parameters.
• Conduct leak checks on engines and inspect joints for proper assembly and sealing.
• Compile and analyze test data using AVL Concerto for performance evaluation.
• Collect mini-patch samples and oil samples for further analysis.
• Update daily engine output reports along with observations and anomalies.
• Support engine testing processes, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with testing protocols and safety standards in the test cell.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / Automobile Engineering or related field.
