Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Automobile engineer or technician to perform engine testing, data verification, and analysis using AVL tools. The role involves setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting within a safety-focused test cell, compiling reports, and ensuring accuracy in test parameters.

Candidate should have hands-on experience with AVL Concerto, PUMA software, and engine testing processes, with attention to detail in a fast-paced lab environment in India.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/automobile engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of engine components and testing processes.
• Hands-on experience with AVL Concerto, AVL test bench, and PUMA software.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pinpoint, IPV, and HMI data verification to ensure accuracy of test parameters.
• Conduct leak checks on engines and inspect joints for proper assembly and sealing.
• Compile and analyze test data using AVL Concerto for performance evaluation.
• Collect mini-patch samples and oil samples for further analysis.
• Update daily engine output reports along with observations and anomalies.
• Support engine testing processes, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with testing protocols and safety standards in the test cell.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Automobile Engineering or related field.
