Overview

We are looking for an experienced Wind Turbine Team Leader Vestas to join international wind farm projects. The role includes wind turbine installation, maintenance, and supervision of technician teams on Vestas turbines across global project locations. This is a hands‑on, field‑based leadership role with frequent international travel, focused on safety, quality execution, and team performance on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in wind turbine service maintenance installation or commissioning preferably Vestas turbines.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in wind turbines.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and OEM documentation.
• Experience with troubleshooting, fault finding and condition monitoring.
• Valid GWO certification and driving licence category B.
• Experience in supervising or leading wind turbine technicians is an advantage.
• Safety focused mindset and knowledge of HSE and GWO standards.
• Good English communication skills B1/B2 minimum.
• Medical fitness for working at height and field based wind turbine environments.
• Willingness to travel and work on international wind farm projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organize and supervise a team of wind turbine technicians on site.
• Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks within the team.
• Ensure safe execution of wind turbine installation.
• Monitor progress, quality and efficiency of work performed on site.
• Ensure compliance with OEM manuals, work instructions, checklists and procedures.
• Act as a safety role model and enforce strict HSE and GWO safety standards.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Assist in fault diagnosis and resolution of technical issues on Vestas turbines.
• Report daily and weekly working hours and complete internal documentation.
• Support continuous training, mentoring and development of team members.
• Ensure proper communication and coordination with site management and project stakeholders.
