Job summary

FairWind is seeking a Wind Turbine Electrical Technician to perform cable routing, termination, and connections, along with final electrical finishing works, following technical documentation and safety standards.

The role offers hands-on, mobile work across projects, including wind farms and electrical infrastructure in multiple countries. Travel, onsite supervision responsibilities, and direct technical accountability are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics is required.
• Strong manual skills with tool handling are essential.
• Experience in electricity or electromechanics; training provided if not experienced.

• Willingness to travel and stay away from home is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in installation and service operations onshore and offshore.
• Perform cabling at foundation level after base tower installation, including grounding cables.
• Carry out cable termination in nacelle and ground level after transformer station installation.
• Connect CMS systems, exterior lighting, Avi Light and other WTG options at CT and tower sections.
• Install cable trays and protective systems.
• Route and secure HV/LV cables throughout the wind turbine.
• Install UPS units, lighting panels and grounding controllers.
• Conduct VLF testing, HV diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Maintain tools and FairWind assets and report per procedures.

We are currently looking for a Wind Turbine Electrical Technician whose mission will be to carry out cable routing, termination, and connections, as well as final electrical finishing works, in accordance with technical documentation and safety standards.

About the role

Depending on your experience level, you will either perform tasks independently or work under the guidance of experienced technicians while developing your technical skills. Training and onboarding will also vary depending on your experience. You will work on high‑visibility projects, including wind farms and electrical infrastructure projects across multiple countries. This is a hands‑on, mobile role, ideal for professionals who enjoy traveling, taking on‑site supervisory responsibilities, and holding direct technical accountability in complex electrical environments.

Your Qualifications

• Electrical school diploma
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Very good manual skills; working with tools must be natural to you
• Experience in electricity, electromechanics. If you don’t have experience, we will teach you everything and you will gain it with us
• Precision, analytical skills and detail‑oriented attitude
• Ability to travel a lot and be away from home

Your Role

• Participation in installation/service operations both onshore and offshore
• Perform cabling works at foundation level after base tower installation, including grounding cables
• Carry out cable termination in the nacelle and at ground level after transformer station (CT) installation
• Connect CMS systems, external lighting, aviation lights (Avi Light) at the CT and tower sections, as well as other wind turbine (WTG) options
• Install cable trays and protective systems
• Route and secure HV/LV cables throughout the entire wind turbine (WTG)
• Install UPS units, lighting panels, and grounding controllers
• Carry out VLF testing, primary and secondary injection tests, HV fault diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Take care of tools and all of FairWind’s possessions
• Reporting and delivering all information according to the procedures
