Job summary

Catalydd Consulting in Chennai is seeking a Team Leader-Operations Engineer to manage and execute the project’s operations needs in the auto quality domain. The role involves coordinating with the Project Leader and reporting lines to ensure timely, compliant results.

Responsibilities include pre/post-activity execution, standard/report preparation, training, and active involvement in QMS implementation, with flexibility for travel within the state.

Responsibilities

• To execute pre & post-activities of Inspection projects as directed by the reporting Manager.
• To assist in preparing standards, procedures and reports for Project Operations per Catalydd and Customer requirements.
• Conduct technical training & assessments for the project team as per induction and skill matrix updates.
• Provide technical support for customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Participate in selection of project team as per Customer requirements.
• Coordinate with PL/TL/Supervisors on QMS implementation in all engineering projects.
• Act as contingency Buffer engineer for QA projects when staff are on leave.

Job Purpose

• To work as directed by the reporting Manager to execute the project’s operations needs as per the defined process.
• To support New Project Technical Mapping, Tech. Candidate interviews and new project implementation.
• To support as a contingency engineer for the QA project in case of any requirement.

Main Responsibilities

• To work, as directed by the reporting Manager, to execute pre & post-activities of Inspection projects.
• To support the preparation of standards, procedures and reports related to Project Operations as per Catalydd management and Customer-specific requirements.
• Conduct technical training & assessments for the project team as per the induction training plan agreed (OJT, Periodic evaluation and Skill Matrix updating) upon between Catalydd & Customer.
• To provide technical support for customer complaints and concerns (Rejection analysis and Action plan execution).
• Provide technical support and active participation in the selection of the project team as per Customer specific requirements.
• To coordinate with the PL/ TL/Supervisors on the QMS implementation in all engineering projects.
• To work as a common Buffer engineer for the QA projects, if any engineer goes on leave/absent needs to support immediately as a contingency.

Other Specific Duties

• Attending internal and external meetings with effective participation.
• Flexible for travel around the state as per travel plan
• To work flexibly, including some evening work, as required, to meet the needs of the role.
