Amazon in Chennai is seeking a Team Lead for its Transportation team to define, build, and own the execution of transportation processes from fulfillment centers to customers within the Sort Center network.

The role requires 1+ years in a customer-facing or logistics environment, a bachelor's degree, fluent English, and proficiency with MS Office. You will lead hiring and training, coordinate with Finance, CS, FC and Projects, and push continuous improvements using Kaizen/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer-facing, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Fluent English (read, write, speak).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute transportation processes from FC to customers within the Sort Center network.
• Hire, train and build a highly motivated SC workforce with HR support to meet operational needs and maintain quality/productivity.
• Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC and Projects on SC operations.
• Continuously improve SC processes to achieve high quality and productivity.
• Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
• Implement process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen/Six Sigma.

Amazon is seeking Team Lead for its Transportation team.

Key job responsibilities

• Defining, building and responsible for the execution of transportation processes, right from FC to customers and leveraging our Sort Center network.
• Responsible for Hiring, training and building up a highly motivated workforce for the SC teams, with support from HR and training team , to meet the operational requirements, and continuously meeting the high bar on quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC and Projects team to matters related to SC operations.
• Continuously improve the SC process and attain a sustained level of performance standard. Initiates improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
• Analysis of the data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve the performance.
• Implement the formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen(six sigma)

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
