Qualifications

  • Educational qualification: Degree in B.com/BBM.
  • Experience: 6+ years in a credit/collection environment.
  • Strong interface capabilities with Sales, Customer Care, Finance/Accounting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English; able to work independently.
  • Experience supervising team members and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounting and finance activities including fixed asset creation and maintenance.
  • Oversee customer accounts, monitor collections, minimize delinquencies and support collections team.
  • Perform credit assessments, manage credit holds and credit limit reviews, and handle cash applications.
  • Prepare and reconcile AR, including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations and bad debt reserve.
  • Maintain vendor master data; assist month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and process improvements.

Job description

Role And Responsibilities

As an Team Lead, Finance: You will be responsible for managing key accounting and finance activities, including fixed asset creation and maintenance, annual physical verification, fixed asset reconciliations, and management reporting. The position will oversee customer accounts, monitor collections, identify and resolve problem accounts, communicate with customers to minimize delinquencies, and support the collection team. Responsibilities will also include performing customer credit assessments, managing credit holds and credit limit reviews, processing cash applications, and resolving unapplied payments, deductions, and customer disputes in coordination with Sales and other stakeholders. The role will prepare and reconcile Accounts Receivable accounts, including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations and bad debt reserve calculations, as well as maintain vendor master data with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. Additional responsibilities include preparing and reconciling bank accounts, investigating variances and resolving reconciling items, supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities, and assisting with statutory, group, and internal audits. The role will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure timely and accurate completion of finance and accounting activities.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification: Degree in B.com/BBM required

Experience: 6+ years of professional experience preferably in a credit/collection environment

Skills
  • Ability to interface well with all levels (especially Sales, Customer Care, Finance/Accounting);
  • Must be persistent, professional, assertive, courteous and understanding in dealing with both internal and external customers;
  • Proficient in English, must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Must be able to work independently;
  • Prior experience supervising team members
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment;
  • Proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • SAP working experience preferred; and
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
