Job summary

Applus+ IDIADA in India (Pune) seeks an experienced CFD engineer (5–8 years) to work on aero, underhood thermal management and HVAC projects using ANSA, ANSYS Fluent, Star CCM and OpenFOAM. You will build full vehicle aero models, run simulations, perform post-processing, and prepare technical reports for global OEMs.

We value strong CFD fundamentals, hands-on experience with vehicle aero, case setup, and effective communication with clients and juniors. Shift A/B is available.

Qualifications

• B.Tech - Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
• Experience: 5-8 years in CFD/Automotive applications.

Responsibilities

• Good at CFD fundamentals for flow and heat transfer.
• Good at full vehicle Model Building Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• Case setup for Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• Post Processing and report generation for Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• Optimization/Counter measure for Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• Experience with other CFD simulations is an added advantage.
• Smart working professional with good team player and innovative thinker.
• Experience with client communication for result discussion is a plus.
• Experience with working with juniors for project execution.
• Good at project planning and execution.
• Automation/Morphing experience is an added advantage.

Primary Tools : ANSA(Preprocessing) ANSYS Fluent (Solving and Postprocessing)

Secondary tools : HM/Star CCM/ open foam/ other CFD tools

Past work: ESPs / tier 1 / Supported for INDIAN and Global OEMs

Area of Work: Aerodynamics, Underhood thermal management, HVAC

Flexible to work in Shift: A/B (7-3:30 and 3:30-11:45)

Nature of Work:

• I.Good at CFD fundamentals for flow and heat transfer.
• II.Good at full vehicle Model Building Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• III.Case setup for Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• IV.Post Processing and report generation for Aero, UTM and HVAC.
• V.Optimization/Counter measure for Aero, UTM and HVAC(Aerodynamics particularly).
• VI.Any other simulation experience in the field of CFD is added advantage
