Job summary

ASSPL in Tamil Nadu, India, is seeking a Transportation Planner to lead planning based on stakeholder requirements and work with 3P carriers to devise effective operational plans. You will handle daily route monitoring, outreach to carriers and vendors, and resolve issues for a fast-growing network.

You will communicate with external customers (vendors, carriers) and internal teams (retail, finance, delivery stations, sort centers) to ensure service levels and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation planning based on requirements from FC/SC/LM stakeholders and coordinate with 3P carriers to develop an effective operational plan.
• Execute daily operations including route monitoring, carrier and vendor outreach, and problem solving for a rapidly growing network.
• Maintain continual, tactical communication with external customers (Vendors, Carriers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Delivery Stations, Sort Centers).
• Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify root causes of defects to drive efficiency in transportation operations.
• Manage cross-functional initiatives, organize and execute complex projects across multiple organizations.
• Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs while ensuring service requirements are met.

• Execute daily operations in the form of route monitoring, carrier & vendor outreach, and problem solving for a rapidly growing network.
• Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Vendors, Carriers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Delivery Stations, Sort Centers)
• Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.
• Managing cross-functional initiatives, organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
