Job summary

Brickwork India Pvt Ltd. is seeking an experienced Team Lead - Accounting & Bookkeeping Services to manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers supporting global clients across multiple industries.

The role focuses on end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring service delivery excellence, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of accounting/finance experience, a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/commerce, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CA Inter, CMA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 6-10 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Tally, or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting processes including Bookkeeping, GL maintenance, AP, AR, reconciliations, and closes.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables per SLAs and KPIs.
• Review workpapers, reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify training needs and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance culture and manage daily team activities.
• Respond to client requests timely and manage scoping calls for new leads.
• Collate team performance details for stakeholders and drive process improvements.
• Adopt accounting tools, automation, AI, and reporting solutions where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with client-specific procedures and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and transformation projects.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Team Lead - Accounting & Bookkeeping Services to manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers supporting global clients across multiple industries. The role involves overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring service delivery excellence, maintaining quality standards, managing client relationships, and driving process improvements while developing a high-performing team.

Job Description:

• Oversee end-to-end accounting processes, including Bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank and credit card reconciliations, Month-end and year-end close activities, FS preparation, Fixed asset accounting, Payroll review and coordination.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables in accordance with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Review accounting workpapers, reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify training needs and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
• Oversee daily activities of the team including workloads, deadlines, and resource utilization
• Ensure timely responses to client requests and follow-ups.
• Conduct performance reviews of the team members as per the policy
• Attend the scoping calls for new leads and gather the requirements.
• Collate and consolidate team performance details to present to multiple stakeholders.
• Adoption of accounting tools, automation, AI, and reporting solutions where appropriate.
• Drive compliance with client-specific requirements and operating procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of quality issues and process gaps.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and transformation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA Inter, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 6-10 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and GAAP/IFRS fundamentals.
• Experience with month-end/year-end close processes.
• Minimum 4-6 years of team leadership experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Tally, or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple ledgers/clients with consistent accuracy.
• International accounting exposure and experience will be an added advantage.
