Lead a team to build RESTful APIs and microservices, work with relational and NoSQL databases, and optimize performance. Strong cloud and CI/CD experience required; Delhi-based role with potential hybrid work.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Module Lead Node.js to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend modules and services. The candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, drive engineering best practices, and work closely with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Node.js developers and own end-to-end delivery of assigned modules.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Define technical approaches, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding and architecture standards.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with third-party systems.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders on technical design and solutioning.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and drive optimization and scalability initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments where applicable.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Track development progress, estimate tasks, manage technical risks, and support timely releases.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js internals.
• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, API security, and integration patterns.
• Good experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, or other caching/message-broker technologies.
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring software development teams.
