Job summary

Ileaf Solutions is seeking a senior backend engineer to architect and build scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript. You will design data models, optimize databases, and drive system architecture decisions.

You will lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and performance tuning. Collaboration with frontend, DevOps, and product teams will be essential to delivering end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production experience with Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Expertise in Express, NestJS, Fastify, or Koa with middleware and routing.
• Strong database proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with ORMs: Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize; SQL tuning and indexing.
• API design and security: REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2/JWT.
• System design including event-driven architectures and message queues.

• Design data models and optimize database performance across SQL/NoSQL systems with proper indexing, caching, and migration strategies
• Lead technical initiatives including system architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers
• Ensure system reliability through comprehensive testing, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Required Qualifications
