Job summary

Carrier seeks a Workday Talent Management expert to act as a functional partner, translating business priorities into scalable, maintainable, and user-focused Workday solutions for HR. The role requires close collaboration with HR centers, product, and digital teams to translate priorities into effective configurations and integrations.

You will coordinate testing, support release cycles, and develop documentation while leveraging automation and AI where appropriate to improve the employee

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with HR technology solutions is required.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Jira is desirable.

• Serve as a trusted functional expert for Talent Management and Talent Acquisition Workday areas, guiding design and implementation best practices.
• Analyze business requirements and design, configure, test, and deploy Workday solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and user-centric.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance employee experience, applying automation and AI where appropriate.
• Coordinate functional testing for enhancements, releases, and projects, ensuring quality across integrations.
• Support Workday biannual release cycles by evaluating new functionality and advising on feature adoption.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, test scenarios, user guides, and artifacts.
• Collaborate with AMS, integration teams, and external vendors to promote operational excellence.

Role Overview

This role serves as a functional partner and subject-matter expert for Workday Talent Management, translating business priorities into scalable, maintainable, and user-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Product Managers, Digital teams, and business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
• Serve as a trusted functional expert for the assigned product area, providing guidance on leading practices, solution design, and Workday capabilities.
• Analyze business requirements and design, configure, test, and deploy Workday solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and user-centric.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, enhance the employee experience, and apply automation and artificial intelligence where appropriate.
• Coordinate functional testing for enhancements, releases, and projects, ensuring quality across upstream and downstream integrations.
• Participate in Workday’s biannual release cycle by evaluating new functionality, assessing business impact, and recommending feature adoption.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, test scenarios, user guides, and implementation artifacts.
• Partner closely with Application Management Services (AMS), integration teams, and external vendors to promote operational excellence.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Human Resources, Digital Technology, Payroll, and external partner organizations.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of experience supporting HR technology solutions.
• At least two years of hands-on Workday configuration experience in one or more of the following areas: Talent Management, Talent Acquisition.
• Strong understanding of HR business processes and Workday architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into effective functional solutions.
• Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting issues, and managing enhancements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and multiple time zones.
• Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and with tools such as Jira.
