Job summary

The Hosteller is hiring a Talent Acquisition Assistant Manager (Front Office, technicians, security guards) to own the end-to-end hiring funnel across multiple hostels. You will screen, coordinate, negotiate and close candidates, while ensuring timely closure and strong candidate experience.

Based in our Human Resources team, you will manage multiple roles, align JD clarity with hiring managers, and push decisions forward.

Qualifications

• MBA or PGDM in HR or a related field
• Minimum 3 years in talent acquisition, including hospitality, restaurants, etc.
• Strong assessment of spoken communication
• A closer: comfortable negotiating, chasing decisions & holding a candidate through notice
• Absolute belief in the company's vision and culture, and the ability to sell it

Responsibilities

• Own closure: screening, coordinating, negotiating and closing from a managed funnel
• Run mandatory telephonic screening for front office roles, including PMS/POS proficiency and guest escalation example
• Independently own multiple roles across hostels, prioritise by business urgency, ensure no role ages beyond its TAT
• Maintain ready-to-hire backups and 3–5 strong candidates for critical roles
• Coordinate the panel: slots, reminders and same-day feedback; push for timely decisions
• Align hiring managers on JD clarity, candidate expectations and feedback timelines; push back when unclear
• Handle negotiation within band on pay, role clarity and location; elevate anything above band before committing
• Own the candidate relationship from first convo to joining, closing the gap
• Sell the vision and culture to candidates even against competing offers
• Direct the executive on documentation, verification, paperwork and reporting

Role overview

Purely hiring, coordinating and closing: the manager supplies the funnel, the executive supports the paperwork and your role converts candidates into joiners. Roles to hire on: general managers, front office managers/executive/associates, cafe managers/asst. managers, multi-skilled technicians, security guards, etc.

Responsibilities

• Own closure. Screening, coordinating, negotiating and closing, worked from a funnel the manager keeps supplied
• Run the mandatory telephonic screening on every front office role, including PMS or POS proficiency and a guest escalation example
• Independently own multiple roles across hostels, prioritise by business urgency, and ensure no role ages beyond its TAT
• Hold a ready-to-hire backup for every active role, and three to five strong candidates in play on anything critical
• Coordinate the panel: slots, reminders and same-day feedback. Chase the decision rather than waiting for it.
• Align hiring managers on JD clarity, candidate expectations and feedback timelines, and push back constructively when a requirement is unclear or unrealistic
• Handle negotiation within band on pay, role clarity and location, and elevate anything above band before committing to a candidate
• Own the candidate relationship from first conversation to reporting, because the drop between offer and joining is charged to this seat
• Sell the vision. Absolute belief in the culture and the growth path is what closes a candidate holding a competing offer at a similar number.
• Direct the executive on documentation, verification, paperwork and reporting, and tell the manager the moment the funnel runs thin.
