Job summary

Siemens Ltd. in India is seeking a System Engineer for system design and application engineering of MV x panels. Responsibilities include reviewing customer specs, creating GA/SLD drawings, and coordinating cross-functionally to drive project execution.

The role requires 10–15 years in electrical engineering, MV distribution knowledge, and hands-on CAD tools. Travel for national and international assignments is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, 10-15 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution system and AIS panels.
• Knowledge of IS/IEC standards for MV systems.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, ELCAD, Promis, E plan, E Base.
• Experience handling EPCs such as ADNOC, NOC, AADC, QE, TAQA, Technip, Tecnimont, CTJV.
• Knowledge of Protection Philosophy.
• Expert in control philosophy of substations.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and ensure clarity in drawings and BOM.
• Create complete engineering drawings including GA, SLD, schematics and CT/PT calculations.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and KPI reporting for the engineering function.
• Coordinate with order manager, mechanical design, logistics, and vendors.
• Present and defend engineering opinions to customers and stakeholders.
• Support project execution and drive productivity improvements.

Job description

SI EA – Export Systems, Siemens Ltd., India, is looking for System Engineer who will be responsible for System Designing and Application Engineering for MV x panels for orders from allocated market/regions.

What will you manage?

• Specification & Documentation
• Review customer specifications and ensure clarity in drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in engineering documentation.
• Execution & Problem-Solving
• Creation complete engineering drawings including GA, SLD, schematic drawings, CT/PT calculation, AC/DC calculations, etc.
• Resolve day-to-day execution issues effectively.
• Support peers to achieve faster and efficient project execution.
• Drawing approval from customers including attending customers / consultant meetings for approval.
• Creation of complete loading drawings for factory including BOM.
• Actively participate in customer discussions and cross-functional team meetings.
• Co-ordinating with order manager, DTO (mechanical design team), logistics, drafting vendor etc.
• Present and defend engineering opinions confidently.
• Performance Monitoring
• Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Objectives for the engineering function.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve KPIs.
• Drive initiatives for productivity enhancement and process optimization.

Who are we looking for?
