Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking an automotive engineer in Bengaluru to contribute to engine/vehicle performance, emissions, diagnostics, and system safety. You will work on mapping platform solutions to vehicle requirements and support production launches through rigorous validation.

Responsibilities include ECU hardware/software integration, test plan creation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will maintain traceability of requirements and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gasoline combustion engines and engine control fundamentals.
• Experience with automotive ECU integration and testing processes.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics or equivalent.

• Integrate ECU/ hardware and software across vehicle platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Understanding customer engine/vehicle performance, emission, diagnostics, function safety, market requirements and mapping it against platform solution


• Performing system integration at vehicle with electronic ECU, mechanical Throttle body, functional Software and verifying it for all possible operating conditions


• Creating test plan to validate customized ECU HW and SW solution and confirming functionality against targets.


• Confirming system application for regulatory and market requirements


• Validating system maturity and ensuring for smooth production launch.


• Analytical approach to resolve quality topics & to support change management at system level


• Maintain documentation and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Qualifications

• Knowledge on Gasoline combustion engine


• Knowledge on Engine control functions


• Engineering Degree in BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.


• Mininum work experience of 2 to 4 years in relevant field


• Tools: INCA / MDA / ETAS / CONCERTO / CANALYSER /VECTOR


• Passion for driving Motorcycle is a plus.
