Role Overview

The role is to independently work on the design as a designer for the project with adherence to timelines and requirements. The role will involve having technical discussions with the team and translate concepts into 3D model design with complete detailing.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the designer for a project.
• Understand concept discussions, hand sketches etc. and translate it to a complete 3D model design with considerations of design for manufacture, design for ease of assembly, design for ease of maintenance, design for usability.
• Detailing of 3D model with fasteners, accessories, OEM parts etc.
• Conduct multiple design reviews with team members to get and incorporate feedback from them
• Coordinate and review manufacturing‑ready part and assembly drawings with junior designers
• Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Apply GD&T on drawings to ensure functionality and manufacturability
• Coordinate with assembly and manufacturing teams
• Support engineering changes and documentation updates
• Participate in shop floor trials to understand, troubleshoot and validate design vs reality.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Mechanical Engineer
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in machine design, preferably in SPM field.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, 2D drawing generation, GD&T understanding
