Job summary

Aptiv PLC in Bengaluru is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design and develop automotive safety and UX features. You will serve as FS SW Architect/Expert/Senior Engineer for Advance Safety projects, shaping safety concepts and software architecture.

You will analyze safety requirements, guide implementation of ISO26262 compliant mechanisms, collaborate across teams, and support RFQs, POCs, and tool qualification.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electricals/Electronics/Instrumentation or Robotics with 11–12 years of hands-on SW development and safety analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and FuSa methodologies.
• Experience with ASPICE and safety-related tool qualification.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer safety requirements and support the engineering team to craft the technical safety concept.
• Manage safety interactions with internal and external stakeholders and work on POC/RFQs for custom SW architecture.
• Develop FuSa SW architecture and contribute to SWE1–SWE6 work packages.
• Provide guidance on implementing safety mechanisms and safe states per ISO26262.
• Support competency teams in designing software/system architecture aligned with ISO26262.

We’re hiring an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design and develop our automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. This position is located in TCI.

Role Description:

You will be working as FS SW Architect/Expert/Senior Engineer for Advance Safety, UX & BCM projects. In particular you will be responsible for:
1. Analyze customer safety requirements and support the engineering team to prepare the technical Safety Concept and Technical Safety
2. Manage all functional safety relevant interactions with internal and externals, work on POC, RFQs, bringing up the technical SW
architecture
3. Developing FuSa SW Architecture and working on SWE1 – SWE6 WPs creation
3. Technical guidance on the implementation of Safety Mechanisms, Safe states and in other technical FS aspects to the teams.
4. Working knowledge on ISO26262 and testing the product
5. Provide necessary support to all competency teams to design Software/System/ architecture in accordance to ISO26262

Your Background:

• A graduate in BE/B.Tech (Electricals/ Electronics/ Instrumentation, Robotics) with 11–12 years of experience, hands‑on SW development, Safety Analysis, and Tool Qualification
• A go-getter with strong communication skills, who challenges ideas to achieve career aspirations aligned with Aptiv’s mission
• A learning enthusiast passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with market trends and new solutions
• Embedded C , Automotive Product, Development Process knowledge
• (ASPICE) | Deep knowledge and understanding of ISO 26262
