At Zyeta, we are driven by quality, innovation, sustainability, and client success. We create workplaces that inspire people, enable businesses, and shape the future of work.
Your success is our blueprint. Let’s build the future of work—together.
About the Role:
The Sustainability Consultant leads the delivery of LEED, WELL, and IGBC certification projects across commercial interiors, corporate workplaces, and LEED ID+C mandates. This role is built for a technically rigorous, detail-driven professional who can hold a certification strategy together across consultants, contractors, and timelines.
You are the certification authority on your projects, translating rating system requirements into clear direction for design and delivery teams, closing documentation gaps before they become risks, and guiding clients through the path from registration to final award with clarity and confidence.
You own the certification outcome end to end — the strategy, the evidence, the submissions, and the result — while building the technical depth of the sustainability team around you.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage LEED, WELL, and IGBC certification projects from registration through final certification.
- Develop credit strategies, scorecards, and certification roadmaps to achieve targeted ratings.
- Monitor project progress, identify documentation gaps, and recommend strategies to maximise achievable points.
- Coordinate submissions and review comments with the relevant certification bodies through to close-out.
Technical Review & Documentation
- Review architectural, MEP, material, and construction documentation for certification compliance.
- Prepare and review certification documentation, calculations, narratives, declarations, and supporting evidence.
- Conduct site audits to verify on-ground implementation of sustainability requirements.
- Coordinate IAQ, acoustic, daylight, and other performance testing where applicable.
- Maintain project trackers, credit matrices, and regular certification progress reports.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, architects, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, and facility teams to close certification requirements.
- Translate rating system requirements into clear, actionable direction for design and delivery teams.
- Represent Zyeta’s sustainability expertise in client discussions, technical reviews, and presentations.
- Maintain communication rhythms that keep certification milestones aligned with the project programme.
Team & Technical Development
- Mentor junior consultants and support the sustainability team in technical delivery.
- Strengthen internal knowledge on evolving rating systems, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to templates, trackers, and best practices that improve delivery quality and consistency.
- Stay current with updates to LEED, WELL, IGBC, and allied green building standards.
Who You Are:
- A certification specialist with deep working knowledge of LEED, WELL, and IGBC, particularly LEED ID+C and commercial interiors.
- A strong coordinator who keeps multiple consultants, vendors, and timelines aligned to a certification schedule.
- Technically grounded across energy, water, materials, waste, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable design.
- A clear communicator who can explain credit requirements and trade-offs to clients and project teams without jargon.
- Rigorous with detail — you catch the missing declaration or the wrong data point before the reviewer does.
- Self-directed and organised, comfortable running multiple projects and certification timelines in parallel.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in green building certification consulting.
- Demonstrated delivery of LEED, WELL, and/or IGBC certifications, with exposure to LEED ID+C and commercial projects.
- Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture, Architecture, Building Science, Environmental Design, or a related field preferred.
- Strong client coordination, communication, documentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; experience with energy modelling or sustainability analysis tools is an advantage.
Employee Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives
- Open leave policy and employee-friendly time-off practices
- Travel support and project-site meals, where applicable
- Employee wellness programs
- Learning, development and upskilling opportunities
- Career growth and leadership opportunities
- Exposure to large-scale commercial and workplace projects
- Employee engagement activities, team outings and celebrations
- Collaborative and inclusive work environment
