The role requires coordinating with railway authorities, IIA agencies, and stevedoring teams to ensure safe, efficient cargo handling and accurate record-keeping.

Your responsibilities include reconciliation of quantities/quality, MIS reporting, and SAP transactions to maintain precise inventory and dispatch data.

Responsibilities

• Supervise rake unloading activities and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor the transfer of materials from rail wagons to designated yard locations.
• Oversee material loading, stacking, and movement within the yard.
• Ensure compliance with operational safety standards and procedures.
• Optimize cargo handling processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Railway authorities for rake placement, unloading schedules, and other operational requirements.
• Liaise with Inspection and Independent Assessment (IIA) agencies for sampling, inspection, and certification activities.
• Coordinate with stevedoring agencies to ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling operations.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Conduct quantity and quality reconciliation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Verify cargo records against physical stock and inspection reports.
• Identify discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of material receipts, movements, and dispatches.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to cargo movement.
• Track key operational metrics and submit reports to management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for all rail and yard operations.
• Perform basic SAP transactions related to cargo receipt, dispatch, inventory, and reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate system updates.
• Verify system records against physical cargo movement and documentation.
