Responsibilities include tracking demurrage charges, preparing claims, and liaising with railway authorities. Ideal candidates will manage commercial cases and maintain operational procedures. This role is pivotal for optimizing logistics and ensuring compliance with railway regulations.

Responsibilities

• Track monthly demurrage and engine hire charges.
• Record commodity-wise rake loads and demurrage incurred monthly.
• Prepare demurrage waiver applications and resolve disputes.
• Manage debit undercharge on engine hire charge bills.
• Draft letters on all railway issues.
• Pursue claims for excess freight paid.
• Handle Own Your Wagon Scheme cases.
• Interpret railway board circulars on freight operations.
• Dealing with Own Your Wagon Scheme case or any project related cases or any commercial cases related to Plants.
• Connecting and interpreting Railway Board’s circulars on freight operation.
• Preparation of SOP on Demurrage, SOP on missing wagon, Assessment & Open delivery.
• Maintaining files on different issues in Logistics Office
• Keeping liaison with Railway in the matter of enroute rake stabling , empty BCN , BOXN availability etc.
• Keeping daily loading position of Cement and Clinker from OCIG and PBJT.
• Circulating Restriction message on daily basis

Job description

COMMERCIAL

• Keep tracking of Demurrage Charges and Engine Hire Charges on monthly basis in case of East, Northeast and South plants.
• Keeping record of commodity wise number of rakes loaded and Demurrage incurred on monthly basis in respect of OCIG, PBJT and MOCL.
• Support in preparation of demurrage waiver application and resolving disputes with the Railway over refund of waived portion of Demurrage Charges.
• Dealing with Debit undercharge on Engine Hire Charge arrear bills a/c PBJT Siding raised by Railway TIA.
• Dealing with Stabling Charges.
• Drafting letters on all type of railway issues including e-payment, GST, supply of rakes, delayed clearance loads from OCIG, restriction, GPWIS rakes, and so on addressed to Railway Board, Zonal Offices & Divisional Offices.
• Refund of claims amount on account of excess freight paid to SER in case of OCIG.
• Pursuing claim cases with SER on account of missing incoming loaded wagons of OCIG and PBJT.
• Dealing with Own Your Wagon Scheme case or any project related cases or any commercial cases related to Plants.
• Connecting and interpreting Railway Board’s circulars on freight operation.
• Preparation of SOP on Demurrage, SOP on missing wagon, Assessment & Open delivery.
• Maintaining files on different issues in Logistics Office
