Job summary

jda is seeking a skilled IT professional to support BY Enterprise Planning solutions in Demand and Supply Planning. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Consulting, and Cloud services, plus on-call support during steady state.

You will design, implement, and optimize BY configurations to meet client business needs. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in JDA/BY, strong SQL/PL-SQL knowledge, and hands-on Java/Python experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 4–11 years of IT experience, with 4+ years in JDA/BY Enterprise Supply chain product with techno-functional experience to configure and facilitate client business processes.
• Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and data structures; NextGen skills like AppDynamics, Splunk, MuleSoft, Python, AI/ML, Azure are a plus.
• Must be able to debug and analyze code in Java and other languages; strong problem solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect implemented solution designs; collaborate with Product Development, Consulting, and Cloud services.
• Enhance or change designs based on new customer requirements and identify root causes and permanent solutions.
• Address incidents and requests related to the BY solution suite; provide guidance on best practices and processes.
• Develop and deliver by advising customers on industry best practices and configuring BY IO/OP/S&OP/FP/SCPO/Demand/Fulfilment workflows.
• Operate and optimize through monitoring, performance tuning, and automation initiatives.

Job description

Scope:

• This role is focused on supporting various BY Planning solutions in Demand/Strategy and Supply Planning.
• Needs to work with cross functional teams including Product Development, Consulting and Cloud services.
• This role needs technical and non-technical support during the Steady state period. Provides primary user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity.
• This position may require 24x7/Weekend coverage and response to systems alerts during 'on-call' periods.
• Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
• Understands the workflow and tables involved in BY solutions (IO, OP, S&OP, FP, SCP, ESP, Demand, Fulfilment) can be configured to better facilitate client business processes.

Technical Environment:

• Good Understanding of BY data workflow
• Installation of BY products
• Good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
• Intermediate knowledge at MS Excel
• Basic understanding on customer business and process.
• Relevant experience on BY SCPO and Manufacturing Planning suite of products
• Requires a bachelor’s degree (in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) and experience in SC domain
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills, ability to provide alternatives, root cause analysis, testing skills and ability to make thoughtful proposals are also among the skills required
