Job summary

Pharmanovia seeks a Senior Supply Chain Executive for India (Mumbai or Vadodara). This hybrid role owns end-to-end Procure-to-Pay with CMOs worldwide, leads MA transitions, and coordinates stock planning with regulatory and IT teams.

You will manage ERP data, ensure GDP standards, and drive improvements in automation and reporting while supporting the wider supply chain function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent experience in Supply Chain/Life Sciences.
• 5+ years’ pharma supply chain experience incl. acquisitions, integration, supply planning and procurement.
• Experience running Procure-to-Pay with third-party CMOs across geographies.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S4HANA MM and advanced Excel.

About the Role

The Senior Supply Chain Executive, External Manufacturing is the key contact for internal and external stakeholders and owns the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay cycle for pharmaceutical products sourced from third-party Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) globally.

The role leads supply chain activities across acquisitions and licence transitions, including MA ownership and inventory transfers, new stock planning and delivery within agreed timelines and budgets. Working closely with CMOs, distributors, Regulatory, Artwork, IT and Finance, the role manages ERP and CMO planning data, resolves bridging stock, serialisation, tamper-evidence, logistics, customs and import/export challenges, and ensures compliant, on-time supply.

As a senior team member, the role provides early warning of supply risks, drives process improvement and automation, and supports the development of colleagues across the function.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay cycle for pharmaceutical products sourced from third-party Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) across multiple geographies.
• Lead the supply chain elements of acquisition projects, developing, coordinating and implementing processes to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated time frames and budgets.
• Work closely with the different teams of the current MA holder to ensure a smooth transition of MA ownership, current inventory of the product to Pharmanovia and planning for new stock in Pharmanovia-approved trade dress.
• Manage supply planning and procurement of medicinal products, including control drugs, dangerous goods and devices, with an understanding of different HA regulations/norms.
• Set up and validate master data on ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Input all required data onto the CMO's planning system within the agreed time frame, ensuring company KPIs are met.
• Troubleshoot all supply chain issues relevant to bridging stock, serialisation and tamper-evidence whilst ensuring the highest standard of GDP is maintained.
• Provide reporting support and inventory and buying support analysis as required, draw insights from data and make recommendations to the business.
• Understand all Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data flows and interrogate data to support improvement.
• Work closely with CMOs, Distributors, Regulatory, Artwork and IT teams to solve issues related to artwork or packaging supply and implement processes to continuously improve efficiency.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, customs clearance or customer issues.
• Provide early warning of impending product or stock problems to internal colleagues.
• Identify and understand complex supply chain data issues and drive them to solution.
• Identify improvement areas before building business cases and engaging with relevant stakeholders to obtain their engagement and buy-in to develop a new tool and/or propose a plan of action which will contribute towards innovation, performance or trust priorities.
• Drive automation of repetitive tasks to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Continuously improve monitoring tools, guidelines and models to adapt to business conditions.
• Support demand forecasting, customer services, warehousing and distribution teams by producing a variety of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure data integrity and practise Pharmanovia work ethics and culture.
• Be compliant with Pharmanovia training SOPs and approval procedures relevant to the supply chain job role.
• Conduct periodic training sessions for end users on new tools and processes and support the training and development of colleagues across the function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, or equivalent professional experience in Supply Chain / Life Sciences.

Preferred

• CSCP, MBA or equivalent supply chain / business certification.
• Master's degree in Science or a related field.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ supply chain experience within a pharmaceutical / life sciences company, including managing acquisitions and integration, supply planning and procurement of medicinal products (including controlled drugs, dangerous goods and devices), with an understanding of different HA regulations/norms.
• Experience managing the Procure-to-Pay cycle with third-party CMOs across multiple geographies.
• Experience leading supply chain elements of acquisition and MA transition projects.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S4HANA (MM / supply planning and ordering) and advanced Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of GDP, serialisation, tamper-evidence and bridging stock requirements.
• Sound understanding of Supply Chain KPIs, data flows and reporting.
• Confident communicator, both verbal and written, well organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable leading discussions with CMOs, distributors and divestment partners; respects colleagues across the globe and works with integrity.
• Enthusiastic self-starter with a ‘will do, can do’ attitude, able to propose new ideas, adapt to Pharmanovia’s work culture and ethics, and support others within the team.
• Experience with other ERP / CMO planning systems.
