Job summary

Pharmanovia is seeking a Global Launch Excellence Manager for India, based in Mumbai or Vadodara with hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 at home). You will lead end-to-end global product launches, coordinating across Global, Regional and local teams to ensure readiness and successful execution.

The role requires substantial pharma experience, a strong project management background and the ability to influence across functions, with a focus on governance, timelines, and best practices in launch

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of global product launches across markets.

About the Role

The Global Launch Excellence Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination and execution of new product and indication launches across Pharmanovia's global markets. Working across Global, Regional, and local organisations, the role will bring together Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and other key functions to ensure that products are launch-ready, appropriately resourced, and effectively executed. The successful candidate will establish clear launch governance, milestones, processes and accountability, while ensuring that potential risks and barriers are identified and addressed well ahead of launch. A key element of the role will be working closely with affiliates to translate global launch strategies into practical local execution plans, ensuring global consistency while allowing for appropriate adaptation to individual market requirements. This is a highly collaborative and influential role that requires the ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority, manage complex projects across multiple countries and functions, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. The Global Launch Excellence Manager will also be responsible for developing and continuously improving Pharmanovia's launch excellence framework, tools and best practices, ensuring that learnings from each launch are captured and applied to future launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of global product launches, ensuring products are fully launch-ready across all relevant markets and functions.
• Establish and maintain robust launch governance, timelines, milestones, accountabilities and critical success factors across Global, Regional and local teams.
• Lead cross-functional global launch teams, aligning Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance and other stakeholders around clear launch objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive global launch plans covering pre-launch, launch and post-launch optimisation activities.
• Drive affiliate and market readiness, identifying gaps, risks, dependencies and required actions to ensure successful local execution.
• Identify, assess and proactively mitigate launch risks, issues and critical dependencies that could impact launch timing, performance or commercial success.
• Develop and embed Pharmanovia's global launch excellence framework, including methodologies, governance processes, tools, templates, dashboards and KPIs.
• Coordinate launch execution across multiple countries and therapeutic areas, ensuring effective communication and alignment between Global, Regional and local organisations.
• Provide senior leadership with clear, concise updates on launch progress, readiness, risks, opportunities and key decisions required.
• Drive continuous improvement by conducting post-launch reviews, capturing lessons learned and implementing best practice across future launches.
• Facilitate effective stakeholder decision-making and issue resolution across complex, cross-functional and international project teams.
• Support affiliates in developing market-specific launch plans, customer engagement strategies and implementation roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Desirable: MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Formal project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Required Skills

• Significant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences industry.
• Proven experience supporting or leading global or international product launches.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations and launch planning.

• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle and the key activities required to bring products to market.
