Job summary

Technovalue is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Management Engineer to oversee procurement of electronic components, manage supplier relations, and optimize inventory for EMS operations. You will coordinate with hardware teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with RoHS/REACH, while improving cost and risk controls.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in EMS sourcing, strong BOM analysis skills, and hands-on ERP/PLM experience.

Qualifications

• Electronics domain knowledge including PCB manufacturing terms.
• Expert-level BOM analysis and revisions management in PLM systems.
• Hands-on experience with ERP Konnect and advanced Excel for data analysis.

Role & responsibilities

• Component Sourcing & Procurement: Source active, passive, and electromechanical components based on the Bill of Materials (BOM) provided by the hardware design team.
• Vendor & Lifecycle Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with global component distributors (e.g., Arrow, Avnet, DigiKey, Mouser) and original component manufacturers (OCMs). Monitor component lifecycles to proactively identify End-of-Life (EOL) or Obsolete parts.
• Risk Mitigation & Alternates Selection: Identify second-source/alternative components for high-risk, long-lead-time, or critical parts to ensure production continuity.
• Inventory & Demand Planning: Collaborate with production teams to forecast demand, manage safety stock, and optimize inventory turnover ratios without impacting manufacturing schedules. [1]
• Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and framework contracts with suppliers to minimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). [1]
• Quality Assurance: Work with the Quality Engineering team to resolve supply quality issues, handle Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), and ensure components comply with environmental standards like RoHS and REACH.

Required Technical Skills

• Electronics Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic engineering terminology, PCB manufacturing processes, and component packages (SMD, Through-hole).
• BOM Analysis: Expert-level proficiency in analyzing complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) and managing revisions via PLM software (e.g., Arena, Agile).
• Tools & Software: Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Konnect , and proficient use of Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis. [1]

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of supply chain, sourcing, or purchasing experience specifically within an electronic manufacturing services (EMS) environment .

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Supply Chain Management Engineer to oversee and optimize the end-to-end lifecycle of our electronics manufacturing operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our hardware engineering teams and global component suppliers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless procurement of electronic components (semiconductors, PCBs, passives, connectors), manage vendor relations, maintain optimum inventory levels, and mitigate supply chain risks to prevent production delays.
