Job summary

Blue Line Shipping Services seeks a component sourcing specialist to handle BOM accuracy, component selection, and cost control for electronic assemblies. You will read schematics, analyze datasheets, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliant packaging and footprints.

The role requires strong negotiation and attention to detail to manage complex BOMs and lifecycle changes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of active and passive electronic components, datasheets, footprints, and packaging standards.
• Hands-on BOM scrubbing and management using Excel or PLM/ERP tools.
• Ability to read circuit schematics and technical drawings to understand component applications.

Responsibilities

• Component sourcing for assemblies and BOM accuracy.
• Bill of Materials management and cost considerations.
• Cost management across supplier quotes and part substitutions.
• Lifecycle management of components from selection to end-of-life.
