Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking a Supplier Manager to own and lead supplier management for embedded software, driving ACQ.4 compliance and ASPICE audits.

You will evaluate vendors, manage RFQ and SOW processes, negotiate favorable terms, coordinate with SOW teams, and monitor KPIs to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering.
• 6–8 years in embedded supplier management.
• Experience with Vector, NXP/TI in Autosar/MCAL.
• Working knowledge of ACQ.4 process and ASPICE audits.
• Experience with sourcing, RFQ, supplier selection and P2P processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Your Role

Supplier Manager

• Own and Lead the Supplier management (implment ACQ.4) for the assigned products
• Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, and service offerings
• Create and manage RFQ (Request for quote) processes
• Responsible for identifying, selecting, and managing suppliers to develop reliable and safe software.
• Maintain comprehensive contract (SOW) documentation to include negotiating favorable terms with SOW vendors, including scope, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Support Project team in coordinating the delivery of software from SOW teams, in accordance with Aptiv’s quality expectations while ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and rack software quality, reliability, and performance metrics
• Analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategies to improve SOW team performance.
• Responsible for addressing issues with SOW teams, such as delays, or quality problems.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on supplier performance
• Monitors to ensure the Request For Quote (RFQ) schedule and budget is met

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline Electronics/Computer science/Mechanical or related field
• Experience 6 to 8 years Experience in Handling Embedded supplier,
• Should have working experience with Vector, NXP/TI Vendors in dealing with Autosar and MCAL License.
• Working experience on ACQ.4 process area and ASPICE Audits
• Masters degree in Operations Management is added advantage
• Experience 7 to 9 years Experience in Handling supplier, additional advantage if handled Embedded SW suppliers
• Should have experience in sourcing process, Rfq process, Supplier selection process and P2P Process
• Possesses good communication skills
• Able to cultivate strong relationships within APTIV across all engineering and program management
