Aptiv in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Technical Lead in Product Systems Engineering to drive the design, development and validation of next-generation safety and user-experience solutions for mobility.

You will translate customer and regulatory requirements into clear system specifications and lead technical discussions, reviews and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software and validation teams.

Technical Lead Product Systems Engineering Help shape the future of mobility.

Position Summary

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment. As a System Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation of Advance Safety and User Experience products. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the products and technology meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will manage customer communication, requirements, and expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and validate new products and technology
• Ensure that system features and deliverables are completed on time per Aptiv quality standards
• Follow APTIV design standards, guidelines, best practices, procedures and policies
• Lead feature definition and requirement reviews
• Ensure the logical and systematic transformation of requirements into a total system solution
• Contribute to requirement analysis, system architecture, and feature integration / verification
• Convert customer requirements into product requirements and design specification
• Ensure proper development, execution and verification across all engineering competencies
• Responsible to lead technical discussions, design reviews and customer presentations
• Develop innovative and creative solutions to unique engineering challenges
• Manage and track system features to ensure high quality delivery on-time
• Drive process, procedure, and methodology improvements to optimize and continuously improve work efficiency

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field of study) 5+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive Industry Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity Ability to effectively manage several projects at once Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile Familiarity with Functional Safety or Cybersecurity knowledge/background Familiarity with system development processes (Automotive SPICE) and tools Experience with vehicle protocols and diagnostics Experience with embedded hardware and serial communication tools System Architecture knowledge. Familiarity with ADAS ECU, Body Control Modules or similar. Gather, analyze, and document business, customer, and system requirements, translating them into clear, testable specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Hardware, Software, and Validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Drive requirements review, change management, traceability, and impact analysis. Experience with vehicle communication protocols and diagnostics (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, etc.).

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

• Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, electrical, or related field of study)
• Experience with low level drivers - SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet drivers
• Experience working on global project
• Experience working in an agile development team and with agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
