Copeland India Private Ltd. is seeking a Production Planning and Operations professional in Maharashtra. The role focuses on planning manpower, material deployment, and ensuring smooth production with emphasis on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

You will support new product development, manage vendor outsourcing for fabrication work, and drive improvements across the plant. The position involves coordinating production plans with sales, optimizing line utilization, and mentoring operators

Responsibilities

• Production planning, execution & shipments; book plant capacities with 100% utilization and ensure resource availability
• New Product Development support with reduced lead times; participate in reviews and consolidation of BoMs
• Safety, Quality, Service level & Cost Improvement; maintain high safety and quality standards
• Overall plant level discipline; identify gaps in Copeland processes and promote ethical practices
• Identify and address downtime, improve production efficiency and cross-functional collaboration

Job Purpose

Execution of Shell assembly Production (mainly Projection welding , Brazing ) by Planning manpower Resources, and Deployment of Material and Other required Sources. Manage team handling production, supply chain, quality & maintain high level of process / Productivity and safety discipline. Support for Production attainment & adherence & improve on it Quick Support to NPD (new product development) with reduced time to market. Focus of Customer satisfaction with reduction in operational / manufacturing cost. Inventory management & control. Manage Vendor base out sourcing activities for fabrication type work

Key Responsibilities

1. Production planning, execution & shipments Receive day wise production plan from planning Function, review its alignment with customer’s sales orders, POR for the month & ensure to book plant capacities with 100% utilization Ensure production resource availability, shift planning, adjustments to meet demands. Skill development / enhancement for Operators with online training & awareness in case. Check adequacy of manufacturing process disciplines, process sequences & time consumed to perform processes. Keep Tracking Hourly / shift / day wise production output, check manpower utilization. Benchmark plant utilization index & track & monitor its improvement. Understand TAKT time for All Operations, Line balancing and deploy techniques to be used for achieving Mass production Work on Down time issues, identify causes for downtime, work with Cross Functional Team to eliminate downtimes which are affecting productivity / output undefined

2. New Product Development Support with reduced lead times Focused efforts on new product development. Participate in reviews with cross functional Teams , Keep track on efforts to optimized time to market. Understand new product scheme, check favorable/ non-favorable effects & raise concerns at specific times. Review total BoMs & participate in consolidation activities by giving support from production. undefined

3. Safety, Quality,Service level & Cost Improvement Continuous focus on safety & keep safety at high level. Quality of products by ensuring in-process & final product quality. Actions to meet quality performance indices with reduced quality cost & less efforts. Actions to improve Service level performance indices

4. Overall plant level discipline Identify & improve on the gaps observed in the standard Copeland processes. Ensure ethical work culture & discourage & report unlawful activities & actions. Help teams & individuals to perform daily activities with systematic & effortless manner. Vigilant for any bad practices & short cuts & report them for timely actions.
