Responsibilities

• Receiving inspection of brought-out components; plan, control and monitor day-to-day activity of function.
• Gauge calibration and design (mechanical + electrical); ensure compliance for organization-wide gauge calibration and new designs.
• Support new product release and engineering change activities; review test points and qualification plans; gatekeeper for new product releases.
• Product/process certification (UL/CCC/BIS); coordinate with stakeholders to initiate and complete certifications; manage audits.
• Product performance and laboratory management; supervise performance tests, calibrations and uptime management.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1 Receiving Inspection of brought out components Plan, control & monitor entire day to day activity of function Mentor & guide a team of skilled technicians New supplier / component qualification, performance evaluation & drive improvement actions Engineering change control
2. 2 Gauge calibration & design (Mechanical + electrical) : Plan , control & ensure compliance of organization wide gauge calibration, new gauge design, selection, procurement activities Mentor & guide at team of skilled technicians at inhouse calibration labs & also control external calibration agencies Train people with new / additional skill sets
3. 3 Support New Product Release / engineering change activities Review & revise quality check points / test methods & equipment's Coordinate to Prepare & execute Qualification plan Gate keeper for all new product release projects.
4. 4 Product / Process Certification (UL/CCC/BIS) Understand mandatory product certifications required & be a single point coordinator for this activity from plant Plan, initiate & execute product certification activity by involving all stakeholders - take end to end responsibility Ensure ongoing product compliance to these standards & manage appropriate inclusions as & when required Manage annual certification audits & interactions with certification agencies
5. 5 Product Performance & Chemical Lab management Mentor, guide at team of skilled technicians at refrigerant compressor performance test lab Prepare, monitor & ensure compliance to daily product performance sampling test plan Initiate & drive actions on non-conforming product Test rigs calibration, spares, consumables & uptime management
