Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an OHS Safety Officer in Pune to impart training and inductions for contractor workmen, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure permit-to-work systems on ME P sites and distribution locations. Daily rounds will monitor unsafe acts and conditions, with quarterly inspections of safety equipment and lifting tools.

The role requires ITI/NCTVT or safety diploma qualifications (ADIS/ safety certificates) and hands-on experience in industrial safety programs.

Qualifications

• ITI with NCTVT Certificate/ Any Graduate/ Diploma Engineer &

Responsibilities

• Impart OHS training and induction for contractor workmen and supervisors.
• Monitor Toolbox Talks at site.
• Monitor and ensure work permit system at site before starting the work for MEP sites and SIA monitoring at PIRE distribution sites.
• Daily site rounds at work locations and monitor unsafe acts and unsafe conditions at site.
• Ensure timely compliance of unsafe conditions & unsafe acts observed at site.
• Joint inspection of First Aid Box with Store in-charge and maintain record.
• Monthly inspection of Fire extinguishers and maintain record.
• Quarterly joint inspection of Fire extinguishers with Authorized inspection agency representative; Joint inspection of Lifting tools & tackles with representative of concern agency and maintain record.
• Participate actively in Company-wide OHS initiatives, monthly Safety committee meeting and all training arranged at site.
