Job summary

John Cockerill in Mumbai is seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor in mechanical packing operations. The role focuses on supervision of packing, loading and warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with packing procedures and maintaining accurate records in the ERP system.

You will take photographs of components, arrange appropriate transport, measure equipment, and generate BOM-based packing lists and invoices. A strong background in mechanical engineering and MIS reporting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 9–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering field.
• Proficient in MIS reporting using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience creating E-way Bills and related invoices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise packing activities to ensure proper packing procedures are followed.
• Oversee loading and unloading of packed boxes on vehicles.
• Supervise packing activities at warehouse.
• Take snaps of L/F components, boxes, vacuum seal during packing.
• Arrange appropriate vehicles to optimize transport costs.
• Take measurements of equipment and order box sizes.
• Prepare packing lists in the system per BOM.
• PR for services and packing consumables indenting.
• Invoice creation in the system for local/FIM and export despatches.
• Maintain records of L/F items in system with snap evidences.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of packing activities to ensure proper packing procedure is being followed.
• Supervision of loading and unloading of packed boxes on vehicle.
• Supervision of packing activities at warehouse.
• Taking all required snaps of L/F components, box, vacuum seal while packing the equipment.
• Appropriate vehicle arrangement as per box weight and size for optimisation of transport cost.
• Taking measurement of equipment at assembly and ordering box sizes to packer.
• Preparation of Packing list as per BOM in system.
• PR for Services & Packing consumable items indenting.
• Invoice creation in system for local/FIM and export despatches.
• Maintaining records of L/F items in system along with snap evidences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Diploma of Mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience of 9 to 10 years in mechanical engineering field.
• MIS report in Excel & PowerPoint as per requirement.
• Creating E way Bills along with invoices.
